Dylan Connolly back in the #greatestleagueintheworld

Its great to see Dylan Connolly back in action in the League of Ireland tonight as he starts on the right side for Bohs in the first game of the new season down in Turners Cross. Bohemians gave Dylan his first taste of professional football after Johnstown FC.

We cant wait for him to light up the league this year as he has on a number of occasions in his time across the water such as with Wimbledon FC in the FA cup and his spell at St Mirren.

Best of luck Dylan Johnstown FC community are rooting for you!

It’s great to be back!

Our two senior teams finally got back playing competitive football this week. We were able to show off our new home and away kits thanks to our friends at Taylors Johnstown . Come see how good we look!

We started out well in the Kilmessan shield in Thursday but just ran out of steam and were pipped in an exciting game verses Robinstown up in the MDL Grounds . Yesterday we traveled to Athboy Celtic  fantastic new pitch, we played some great football in parts on the excellent surface but lost out by a single goal in the end.

It was great to be back playing and both teams will take huge positives going into next week. #upthejohnner #communityclub #supportlocal #heartofjohnstown #johnstownfc

Johnstown FC back in the heart of Johnstown

Johnstown FC want to thank all the members and volunteers that turned up to clean up the park this morning. There was a great sense of community spirit and it was super to hear and see the kids using the park as a community facility.

We wish to thank Alan Lawes and Johnstown Tidy Towns for the pickers and other equipment. We also want to thank JPP for allowing the club the opportunity to have the community’s club partner with them in the park for the potential benefit for all. It was super to see it used in a positive manner. We hope the kids enjoy training there over the summer.

Thanks to P.D Water Services for Sponsoring a kit for our U13s

Johnstown FC want to thank and give a big shout out to a very generous local business P.D Water Services, for sponsoring a kit for our under 13 side. Check out Paul’s page for water softener installs and drinking water systems. It makes a huge difference in a hard water area like Johnstown

See below, Paul and his son Darragh in the new kit in the people’s park this evening, more news coming there soon. Christy Kavanagh representing Johnstown FC. #keepitlocal #upthejohnner #JohnstownFC

Over €4000 raised and 1000 miles run for the Mater Foundation by Johnstown FC

During the course of February, a number of Johnstown FC senior players and Johnstown FC coaches were able to raise over €4000 for the Mater Foundation. The lads also upheld their end of the bargain by running over 1000 miles combined. Fair play to all involved as it is a great amount raised and hard miles to run. The guys also wanted to mention their appreciation for the huge support they got from friends, family and the wider community.

When lockdown lifts we are raring to go to get back training. We also hope to continue with further fundraisers and campaigns over the summer months.
