Code of Conduct

Code of Ethics for Parents at Children’s Matches
Introduction
This code of ethics is established to ensure a positive, respectful, and supportive environment at our children’s matches. As parents and guardians, your role is crucial in shaping the experiences of our young athletes. Adherence to this code is mandatory, and your signature will be required to acknowledge your understanding and commitment before joining the sidelines.

  1. Respect for Coaches

Leave Coaching to the Coaches: Parents must refrain from giving tactical advice or coaching from the sidelines. Trust in the expertise and methods of the appointed coaches.

  1. Positive Encouragement

Encourage, Don’t Discourage: Always use positive language when addressing players, coaches, and officials. Avoid criticism that could diminish the confidence and enjoyment of any child.

  1. Respect for Officials

Respect Decisions of the Officials: Understand that referees and officials are integral to the game. Respect their decisions, even in disagreement. Disputes should be handled formally and respectfully.

  1. No Negative Comments or Aggressiveness

Maintain Composure: Any form of negative comment, aggression, or hostility towards players, coaches, officials, or other spectators is strictly prohibited. This includes verbal and non-verbal actions.

  1. Sportsmanship and Fair Play

Promote Fair Play: Encourage your child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence. Model good sportsmanship.

  1. Supportive Environment

Create a Positive Atmosphere: Your enthusiasm and support should contribute to a fun and encouraging environment for all players, regardless of the outcome of the game.
