Johnstown 1-1 Trim Celtic
This was a game of two evenly matched teams which, in the first half, led to few chances for either side. Johnstown, to their credit, defended very well in the first half with Trim only having a few long-range shots. Neil Mcginley, Adam Anderson, and Scott Taylor worked hard to drive Johnstown forward. The first half ended 0-0.
The second half started off well for both sides with Trim creating a couple of good chances. On the 15th minute of the second half Trim scored a well-placed goal. This spurred Johnstown into life and they were unlucky not to equalise, with both Neil Mcginley and Sean Christy coming close.
Johnstown finally got a lucky break 7 minutes from the end when Neil Mcginley scored from close range. The game ended 1-1 which was probably a fair result overall considering the chances both sides had.
