Our very own Amanda McQuillan ex Johnstown goalie is up for an award tonight as Meath Young Sports Person of the Year. Amanda played with Johnstown for a long time and was always an asset to her team. In her last two years with the club her team Managed by Pat Allen won their league 2 years in a row unbeaten. We were all sad when due to the rules of the game Amanda could no longer play for us as her team and myself wished her a fond farewell.
Since leaving the club Amanda has continued to go from strenght to strenght. In 2013 she played in Goals for Ireland which is a fantastic achievement for her. Now tonight Amanda stands to win the Meath Young Sports person of the Year. On behalf of Pat, Myself and all of in the club we want to wish you all the best tonight Amanda.
Here she is with her Team mates in 2011
