Good Luck Amanda

Today at 7pm in the AUL our very own Amanda McQuillan will take to the pitch once again and proudly wear the Ireland Jersey.  The girls will be playing against Norway in a friendly and we would like to wish them and Amanda all the best.

Reminder

Our annual awards night is on tonight.  All players, parents, managers and committee are more then welcome.  Be great to see as many of you as possible there latter. Tickets available on the door.

 

Johnstown end of season awards night 2014.   Saturday 5th July at 8:00 in  O’Briens restaurant, old Johnstown village.  All adult members, parents, players, managers and committee members are more then welcome for what promises to be a great night out.  For only 20 euro you will get a three course meal, live band and plenty of fun and craic.

10 Year Anniversary

10 Year Anniversary Update

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to chance the date of our 10 year anniversary.  It will now take place on the 3rd of August at 10am.

WE have lots of events planned for the day and we will have a Legends match with some of our original squad coming back for the game. Penalty shoot out bouncy castles and Catering for all.  your still all invited but please RSVP to your manager so we have an idea of numbers.

Keep the date free for what promises to be a fun exciting day for all of us.

First of our big games this weekend U17 play in a League Decider in Claremount with a KO set fro 11:30.  So for the first time this weekend we are asking you all too come out and support the boys and cheer them on.  We hope to see you all there

Ronan takes to the Floor

With the year of football  over our reserves manager and first team goalie, Ronan Croke, did not know what he was going to do with himself.  So when asked by his local GAA Club to join their Strictly Come Dance fund raiser he jumped, well pirouette, at the chance to join them.

So after weeks of practice our Ronan will take to the floor this Saturday the 17th of May at 8 O’Clock in the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim. Under-17s

Under 17s Cup Final

Tomorrow at the cup final the NECSL are doing a commemorative Cup Final program this will be available in the Club house and will cost 1 Euro.  All funds raised from sale of the cup final book are being donated to SOSAD

 

SOSAD – Save Our Sons and Daughters is an Organization with five main goals

 

  • Raise awareness of suicide in Ireland.
  • Break the taboo surrounding suicide.
  • Provide support and direction to those feeling suicidal
  • Provide support and direction to those approached by someone feeling suicidal
  • Provide support and direction for those bereaved by suicide.

So not only will you get a nice commemorative souvenir of the Teams Cup Final but every penny raised goes to help this great loacl charity

Meath Womens Refuge

When ever we publicly fund raise we always give 10% of what we collect back to Meath Women s Refuge .  For us a as a club its important to help our community.

Recently we did a bag pack in Supervalu in Johnstown and it was very successful.  Having completed the fund raiser we presented the Refugee with a donations that was 10% of what we raised.  Pictured here is Paddy Allen Chairman presenting to Deidre Murphy of the Women’s Refuge for €136.

Today in the MDL Phil Warren Coach for the Under 10s is going to hold a raffle for the Refuge also he has a Lir Chocolate Easter Egg to give away and will be selling Tickets for 2 Euro.  Every penny raised will go directly to the refuge and it would be great if you could buy a ticket for this great cause.
