Reserve team captain Jack Conroy is this month representing the Irish Amputee Team at the World Cup in Mexico. It is the first time Ireland have ever had a team at the tournament. They have been drawn in Group A with Brazil, Ukraine and defending world champions Uzbekistan. The team fly out on the 27th and Johnstown FC would like to wish them all the best as it is an honour to have an Irish international within our ranks. The boy James put em under pressure
Best of luck, you will do great buddy
Good luck jack!
Thanks a million for the support guys. The club has been amazing since I got involved with this. Managers Ian Sheridan and Ronan Croke have been very accommodating to me with regards to what I want to do at training. Patrick Hegarty has given me great goal keeping advice and Christy Kavanagh played a massive part in getting me involved with the Irish team. Thanks a million Christy. I will be forever grateful. Looking forward to wearing the red and white stripes once more when I get home!!
