Under 18s

Under 18s Vs Seniors

Last Sunday the both teams where at a loose end with no fixtures for either of them.  So we though why not have a friendly.  Not only had we JFC Vs JFC but managers on each team are brothers so truly the rivalry was here with Shane out to prove to his Big Brother Ian he had the better team.

The game was at a steady pace with the seniors starting of the goals when Ciaran Croke scored a screamer of a goal to set the Seniors one up.  But the Under 18s where not going to let the old men of the club show them up and quickly scored one against them.  From here on in both sides defended fiercely and not another goal was had by either side.

With the full time whistle blown at 1-1 as it was an inter cub friendly  the decision was to go to penalties both sides took to this with gusto and the Final score was 4-3 to the Under 18s

Here is a few pictures from the game to give you a taste of the action

Away Game Directions

If you have a look at our Home page on our website you will see all our recent fixtures are displayed.  If this fixture is an away game when you click into the game you will get directions to the Venus.  In some cases we had the actual Co-Ordinates of the venue so the map will be bang on.  So whilst you may still get lost going to Away games you no longer have an excuse

Bellow is an example of an away game where we have the official directions and I had the Co-Ordinates

Child Protection in Sport Awarness Workshop

A big thank you to all our coaches, assistant coaches, committee members and our Child Welfare officer who all attended and successfully completed tonight’s Chid Protection in Sport Awarness Workshop.

Sandra McAuley , Code of Ehtics Tutor, gave an interesting and informative course in Child Welfare to all who attended. This year it will be a legal requirement for all involved in training and coaching children to have completed this course and tonight marked an extremely important step for us in JFC to have our volunteers trained to the highest standard available.

Without our volunteers giving up their free time to be trained we would not be able to run a successful club and for this I hope you can join me in thanking them all for their continued dedication to the club.
