Smart Phone Friendly

Nerds never sleep and certainly not whilst we can tinker. So over the last few days the club nerd has been fiddling with the site and we have some improvements that we think you will like.

Mobile phone and tablet friendly

From now on the site is responsive. It will know if you are on a phone or iPad and the display will adjust to fit.

Fixtures on front page
These now tell you what league the fixtures are in so you can see your games immediately. Seniors, Under 16s or shield games the competition name is there.

Logon/register

We would encourage you to interact with the site like articles and posts. Tweet the links and you can do all of that on the site itself.

Now too you can create a logon on the bottom right and leave a comment directly on the site. If you do decided to leave a comment you can log in by creating and account or use your existing Facebook or twitter logins as the site is fully integrated with both services.

Child Protection in Sport Awarness Workshop

A big thank you to all our coaches, assistant coaches, committee members and our Child Welfare officer who all attended and successfully completed tonight’s Chid Protection in Sport Awarness Workshop.

Sandra McAuley , Code of Ehtics Tutor, gave an interesting and informative course in Child Welfare to all who attended. This year it will be a legal requirement for all involved in training and coaching children to have completed this course and tonight marked an extremely important step for us in JFC to have our volunteers trained to the highest standard available.

Without our volunteers giving up their free time to be trained we would not be able to run a successful club and for this I hope you can join me in thanking them all for their continued dedication to the club.

Social Media Integration

With the site now live for a week tomorrow we have had over 1000 visits and 4,500 page views.  As you can imagine we are delighted with the response to the site and it makes us very happy to see it getting so well used.

Today to make the site more interactive we have enabled the Facebook and Twitter log ons. What this means if you want to leave a comment on the site you just click on the Facebook or Twitter button.  This will take you too either of those websites which will then authorise your account on our website so you can then leave comments and interact with us here on the site.

Along with the above you can like pages and posts.  If you are a tweeter you can tweet the posts direct from the site too.

So go on give it a go today and leave a comment on the site.
