With just over two and a half hours to go till our under 35s take to the filed for the first time. We would like to wish them all the best of luck in their summer of football. Hope a few of you can come down to support the guys.
Johnstown U10’s won there first trophy as they won the shield in Torro’s first year’s summer 8’s. It was a cracking final in which they beat Navan Cosmos 2-1. Johnstown took the lead with a great one two from Jordan and Patrick Who then crossed for Byron to volley into the net.
Cosmos hit back with a Nice finish past Keeper Jamie.J/Town had 4 goals disallowed but never stoped pressing for the winner and just when it looked like extra time Patrick Warren hit a stunning long range shot into the top corner. So captain Finn Malone got his hands on the lads first trophy.
