This Saturday, all eyes turn to Sullivan Lambe Park, home of Drogheda United F.C., as Johnstown FC take on Trim Celtic AFC in the PM Blinds & Shutters Men’s Challenge Cup Final 2025 — the blue-riband event of the North East Football League season.
It promises to be a thrilling contest between two in-form sides. Holders Trim Celtic will be looking to retain their crown, while Johnstown FC, fresh off their Division 1 title-winning campaign, aim to cap off a remarkable season with Cup glory.
Johnstown’s journey to the final has been nothing short of outstanding — defeating Premier Division opposition in every round, including a thrilling 5–4 semi-final win over Albion Rovers. The team’s attacking style, determination, and unity have defined their season, with standout performances from Lee Duffy, Liam Herbert, and Lee Kelly along the way.
With kick-off at 2pm on Saturday and admission just €5, we’re calling on all supporters to come along, make some noise, and cheer on the lads as they go for Cup glory!
